APRIL 2010 SHOWCASE
Frank Giallonardo - Fairfield, PA

A 1972 Gran Torino that does wheelies and goes by the moniker Torinosaurus...c'mon thats awesome isn't it?

Owner Frank Giallonardo of Pennsylvania enlisted Booze Brothers Racing to add a roll cage and a suspension system to help the car be a bit safer at high speeds.

The 545 c.i. engine is fed fuel by an SV1 carburetor.  The Torinosaurus shows it hand as it leaves the line with the wheels in the air and man thats the coolest thing.

But its also cool that Frank back to back tested our SV1 on his combo against his 950 carb and the 4100 lb BEAST of a vehicle went from running 10.53 @ 126 mph to a 10.40 at 128 mph.  A quick check of our racing calculator shows it requires a 28 h.p. gain at the flywheel for the SV1 to make the beast go that much faster as compared to the 950 four barrel carb.

Congrats Frank, the Torinosaurus is certainly a crowd pleaser and probably makes the original designer of that Station wagon at Ford Motor Company just a little prouder knowing his car can haul it like that.

He even has his own website for the Torinosaurus..check it out at: http://www.torinosaurus.com
