Road racer Andy "Big Dog" McDermid and his HMR team started out the 2009 season with a bang, winning a pair of races at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in South Beloit, Illinois. The 2008 SCCA A/Sedan Champion dominated two successive weekends, setting track records in qualifying and during the race at both the Harvey West Memorial Race on May 3rd, and the Carl Mueller Memorial Race on May 17th. McDermid's Ford Mustang is powered by Felice Performance Engines and Pro-Systems Carburetors.

Speaking of Big Dogs, The Piedmont raceway Big Dog contest is always a fight.  BIlly Albert's engines (Albert Machine and Performance, #276-686-8964) came out on the top of the heap with Pro Systems carburetors on top of the two fastest cars on the track.  Both the #1 and #2 qualifiers Bob Harris and Jamie Chapel laid down 4.1 second passes to show who the Big Dogs were at Piedmont Raceway.
