IN THE NEWS
Sebring, Daytona and Dragsters. Oh My.

Pro-Systems company President Patrick James came away with the 2008 SCCA Championship for his region as well as a Sebring International Raceway Track Record.  So all in all it was a good season for us.

The last nail went into the competitors coffins on the Daytona Speedway 24 hour course with a win that gave us an insurmountable lead in the points chase.

But Edelbrock had some new A/Sedan heads they wanted to debut in our class so we brought the car out for one more race.

As instructed, we bolted the heads on as they came "out of the box" from Edelbrock and unloaded the car at Sebring, where we promptly grabbed the pole position on a relatively dry track (they made some power let me tell ya', but some sections of the track were still quite wet from a brief cloud burst, so we could've run even a bit quicker). BUT for raceday the rains came and stayed.  Well, we don't own a pair of Rain tires, so when they called us to the grid for the race we stepped up.

We envied the folks with rain tires on the grid as it was coming down pretty good. But fortunately we put a good race together and "on slick tires" won the whole enchilada with rooster tails flying.

It was something more as the Patrick James driven American-made Mustang out accelerated a GT1 Porsche through the rain and massive water puddles to scratch into that lead by the VERY FIRST turn to go on to take not just a Class win but the Overall Group win as well.

The SCCA nicknamed us "The Group from Hell"  Our Group were some shrapnel making, fire creating, panel rubbing/ripping group of drivers.

However, we personally escaped the season relatively unscathed, never causing a single incident, but avoided many and came away with a big SCCA Championship trophy and Track Record to boot.  It was a good year in our camp.

First he takes all the wins, then Jeff Ledford won't even share the cover of IHRA's magazine!!  Sheesh, who raised this kid?

Speaking of good times at the races, Jeff Ledford uses one of our Big single Nitrous Pro IV carburetors to compete in Top Dragster in his self built Rislone Sponsored machine (yes Jeff has his own chassis shop Warrior Race Cars  - 989.289.7250).  Jeff has been on a roll lately winning the last four races he's entered and doubling up in Top Dragster.

Jeff said, the car has been deadly consistent and with consistent reaction times in the teens, the driver isn't so bad either.  Go Jeff Go!
